TL;DR
Principal End-to-End Architect (5G/SD-WAN): Designing cross-domain platforms and end-to-end solutions spanning hardware, software, networks, cloud infrastructure, and telecommunications systems with an accent on reusable architectures, requirements engineering, and large-scale system design. Focus on decomposing complex product requirements, integrating 5G NR/NTN/NB-IoT and SD-WAN capabilities, and ensuring scalable, reliable, and operable delivery across engineering and operations.
Location: London, United Kingdom; Lausanne, Switzerland; Dublin, Ireland; or The Hague, Netherlands. A valid work permit or visa is required for the country where you will be located and working.

What you will do
- Own end-to-end, cross-domain architecture for platforms, products, and solutions.
- Translate product and operational requirements into technical requirements, domain models, and solution designs.
- Assess commercial and technology opportunities, including feasibility, impact assessments, and business cases.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams while advising Product Management and business stakeholders.
- Evaluate technologies and define roadmaps across hardware, software, networking, cloud, and infrastructure.
- Coordinate architecture, requirements traceability, governance, and delivery with Product, Engineering, Operations, and PMO teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience with end-to-end solution architecture.
- Hands-on experience with networking, SD-WAN, infrastructure, virtualization, and public, private, and hybrid cloud.
- Experience with 3GPP telecommunications standards, including 5G NR, NTN, and NB-IoT.
- Practical knowledge of domain-driven design, microservices, distributed systems, event-driven design, integration patterns, and system decoupling.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, systems-design, leadership, and mentoring skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience in aviation or maritime mobile connectivity, satellite technology, customer-facing roles, or product strategy.
- Commercial and business awareness, including business cases and financial implications.
- Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, networking protocols, ISPs, QoS/QoE, edge computing, and product-led software development.
