IT Architecture & Design Tech Lead

What you’ll do

• Act as the architecture and design authority across the IT organization.
• Assess business and product requirements and define end-to-end technical solutions aligned with architecture strategy, compliance, cost, and delivery timelines.
• Lead technical design activities for major business and technology projects affecting revenue, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop solution architecture documents, including statements of work and high-level designs, covering systems, teams, responsibilities, and technical capabilities.
• Coordinate with Group Architecture, subject-matter experts, technical domain leads, and business stakeholders on roadmaps and technology initiatives.
• Resolve technical conflicts, participate in RFP and proof-of-concept processes, and guide delivery teams in implementing architecture standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least 7 years of technical experience across telecommunications and/or IT domains, including work in at least two technology areas.
• Hands-on experience developing and delivering IT or telecommunications applications and services, including large-scale and complex projects.
• Knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, operating systems, databases, software development techniques, REST web services, SOA, architecture patterns, and microservices.
• Strong technical leadership, decision-making, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience building reliable and secure distributed systems and working effectively in virtual teams.

Nice to have

• Telecommunications industry experience or previous work with multinational or vendor companies.
• Background in IT or enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, and reference models.
• Agile experience and knowledge of Agile principles and methodologies.
• Integration or middleware experience.
• TOGAF, AWS, or equivalent certifications.
