Solution Architect (Telecommunications): Designing and delivering secure connectivity and networking solutions for critical UK infrastructure with an accent on enterprise networking and secure-by-design principles. Location: Hybrid (3 days office, 2 days home) in Bristol, Leeds, Birmingham, or Manchester. Must hold or be able to achieve SC-level Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Take overall ownership of solution architecture design to address business and technical challenges.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Account teams during customer engagements.
• Create detailed design documents, proposals, and solution roadmaps.
• Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture and "secure by design" standards.
• Provide implementation governance for Programme Delivery teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Mentor colleagues and support continuous improvement within the architecture team.

Requirements

• Experience in telecommunication and connectivity systems, including enterprise networking and service provider environments.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into practical, documented solution designs.
• Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to various stakeholders.
• Must be eligible for SC-level Security Clearance.
• Ability to work from UK offices (Bristol, Leeds, Birmingham, or Manchester) 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as TOGAF or MBSE.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern infrastructure approaches.
• Knowledge of network security, boundary protection, and secure architectures.
• Understanding of cyber security principles and risk awareness.
• Familiarity with CAA standards and system/infrastructure auditing.
