Manufacturing Technician

Location: San Luis Obispo, CA; the role description also specifies the Burnet, TX facility. Onsite work with 2nd-shift or 3-2-2-3 day and night schedules.

Salary: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Disassemble, assemble, and troubleshoot canisters in a hazardous chemical environment.
• Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures while improving manufacturing efficiency.
• Collaborate with leadership, engineering, quality, and safety teams to meet production goals.
• Identify solutions, share process improvement ideas, and support continuous learning.
• Maintain safety, quality, efficiency, accountability, and integrity while working under pressure.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical or technical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous hazardous chemical handling experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends, lift or move up to 51 pounds, perform visual checks, and use required PPE.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office; SAP or PLC experience is a plus.
• Ability to attain respirator certification and work in a detail-focused, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment.
• Experience with SAP or PLC systems.
