Engineering Technician III (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Design, test, check out, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and assemble electronic and electro-mechanical systems, prototype models, test equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems at both system and component levels.
• Support new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, rework, malfunction remedies, and quality notifications.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing according to engineering and manufacturing documentation.
• Compile logbooks and test procedure documentation and assist with department procedures.
• Follow safety, security, cleanroom, equipment, and material handling procedures.

Requirements

• Proficiency in analytical processes and procedures for assigned technical tasks.
• Ability to work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, and plans.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate heavy machinery, including forklifts.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, climb stairs and ladders, work in tight spaces, and lift as required.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work in environments with potentially significant noise.
• Work may take place in a cleanroom and requires appropriate personal protective equipment, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
