What you will do

• Design and develop metals, polymers, ceramics, and composites with tailored thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties.
• Evaluate material systems, additives, processing routes, and characterization results using thermal, electrical, mechanical, and microstructural methods.
• Analyze failure modes and performance limitations to improve material designs.
• Lead compounding process development and optimize processes for consistent material properties.
• Scale laboratory formulations into manufacturable processes and support material industrialization with Procurement and Product teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, manage project costs and schedules, and document technical findings for intellectual property and internal knowledge development.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry, Materials, Physics, Semiconductors, or a similar field preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in materials; 5 or more years preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in circuit protection preferred.
• Experience with material characterization techniques such as DSC, TGA, FTIR, and SEM.
• Expertise in design of experiments and ability to work independently in fast-paced, project-focused environments.
• Fluent English required for writing, reading, and conversation.

• Experience scaling materials from R&D to initial manufacturing phases.
• Experience developing manufacturing process capability.
