IP Network Operations Engineer (IP Networking)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal. Hybrid work model with 8–10 in-office days per month.

What you will do

• Operate and support IP network infrastructure, maintaining service availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Execute network changes, upgrades, and migration activities.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous service improvement.
• Assess operational risks, prioritize restoration actions, and escalate critical issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and support automation and operational efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or computer science.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, and IPv4/IPv6.
• Hands-on experience configuring Cisco environments, including Cisco ACI, ASA, and ISE.
• Experience supporting network security solutions, including Fortinet and Check Point firewalls.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues across LAN, WAN, data centre, and IP transport environments.
• Spoken and written English and Portuguese are required.
