Components Manufacturing Prep Technician

Location: U.S. work authorization is required under ITAR regulations; eligibility includes U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or authorization from the U.S. Department of State.

What you will do

• Review work orders, align priorities with production leads, and prepare job packets and work instructions.
• Unpack, organize, verify, and stage hardware for manufacturing production.
• Track parts in ERP systems and support material-pick activities when shortages arise.
• Inspect, clean, and mark hardware, including ultrasonic or sonic cleaning processes.
• Complete prep-level assembly operations such as helicoil and keensert installation.
• Triage held jobs, resolve documentation or inventory issues, document rework, and create NCRs for non-conforming parts.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience, or equivalent, in aerospace, manufacturing, production, R&D, or a related industrial field.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and basic technical drawings.
• Experience with ERP or manufacturing tracking systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to escalate issues appropriately.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs and lift and carry 50 pounds for limited durations.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and overtime when necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting aerospace, fluid systems, or precision mechanical hardware production.
• Experience inspecting machined hardware and familiarity with FOD control and clean handling practices.
