Quality Inspector (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Execute receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspections for precision, flight-critical components.
• Use calipers, height gages, scanners, portable CMMs, and other advanced measurement methods.
• Maintain audit-ready inspection documentation and traceability in MES/ERP systems.
• Identify and document nonconformances, participate in MRB activities, and follow corrective actions through resolution.
• Track calibration and remove out-of-tolerance measurement equipment.
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering, mentor junior inspectors, and improve first-pass yield.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
• Advanced experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 first article inspection requirements.
• Must meet U.S. export control (ITAR) requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with portable CMMs, laser scanning, or large-part inspection systems.
• Familiarity with PolyWorks, PC-DMIS, Verisurf, or InspectionXpert.
• Experience with MRB, NCRs, corrective actions, weld inspection standards, or supplier quality.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members.
