Senior Accountant (CPA)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two remote days per week.

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support month-end close by preparing complex journal entries, reviewing reconciliations, and performing variance analysis.
• Redesign accounting processes, automate routine tasks, and identify workflow inefficiencies using tools such as Power Automate, Power BI, and AI models.
• Support the consolidated U.S. audit and statutory audits for UK and French entities while coordinating with external auditors and local accounting firms.
• Evaluate and implement close-management tools such as FloQast and maintain standard operating procedures for key accounting processes.
• Partner with FP&A, legal, HR, and international finance teams to ensure consistent accounting treatment and accurate reporting.
• Support acquisition integration and accounting activities for new business lines.

Requirements

• CPA certification.
• Substantial and progressive accounting experience in a global or national accounting, professional services, or consulting firm.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, reconciliations, audit support, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule based in Chicago, with three days per week in the office.

Nice to have

• Big Four public accounting experience or a combination of Big Four and industry experience.
• Experience with a publicly traded company, high-growth technology or financial services company, M&A integration, or post-acquisition accounting.
• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar enterprise accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
