Senior Revenue Accountant (SaaS)

Location: Remote - USA

Base salary: $95,600–$137,500 USD per year, plus potential bonus or incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and review monthly revenue reconciliations, rollforwards, supporting schedules, journal entries, and flux analyses.
• Prepare audit-ready workpapers, supporting evidence, and documentation for recurring close activities.
• Lead assigned revenue close deliverables in accordance with accounting policies and controls.
• Investigate unusual items and reconciling differences with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support external audits by preparing documentation, coordinating requests, and responding to inquiries.
• Partner with Deal Desk, FP&A, Legal, and other teams to improve upstream processes through standardization, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting, audit, or related finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
• Experience owning or leading recurring close activities, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to resolve issues independently.
• Advanced Excel skills, including reconciliations, lookups, and analysis of large datasets.

Nice to have

• Experience with ASC 606 and ASC 340-40 in SaaS revenue accounting.
• Experience at a Big Four public accounting firm, high-growth pre-IPO company, or publicly traded technology company.
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Maxio, or FloQast.
• CPA license or active progress toward CPA, with interest in AI and automation.
