Engineer II - IT Systems (ServiceNow SAM)

What you will do

• Implement and manage the Software Asset Management program and oversee software assets from acquisition through retirement.
• Administer and configure ServiceNow SAM Professional for software discovery, normalization, reconciliation, license rights, allocations, and compliance tracking.
• Monitor software usage and installations to reclaim or reallocate underused assets and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Manage vendor licensing agreements, entitlements, renewals, audits, and software-related risks in collaboration with IT Security, Legal, HR, and Finance.
• Design ServiceNow Catalog Request workflows for software approvals, delivery, and reclamation.
• Produce dashboards and reports, provide SAM training, and drive continuous improvement in ITAM maturity and customer support.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of IT Asset Management and Software Asset Management policies, procedures, and best practices.
• At least 3 years of experience in Software Asset Lifecycle Management and interpreting licensing models for major publishers such as Microsoft and Adobe.
• Working knowledge of ITSM and ITAM tools, including ServiceNow, Ivanti, or related platforms; experience with ServiceNow SAM Professional and Power BI.
• Proficiency in data analytics, pivot tables, auditing, and data management.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication, strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a global team environment.

• IAITAM CSAM certification.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
