TL;DR
Components Manufacturing Technician II (Aerospace): Assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining rocket engine components, valves, actuators, and other fluid-system sub-assemblies with an accent on cryogenic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and precision-cleaning operations. Focus on diagnosing complex mechanical systems, proof-testing pressurized components, improving work instructions, and safely handling hazardous systems and high-pressure operations.

Location: United States eligibility required under ITAR regulations; hirify.global is headquartered in north Austin, Texas.

What you will do

  • Assemble rocket engine components, valves, actuators, turbomachinery, combustion devices, and other sub-assemblies.
  • Test, functionally verify, proof-test, and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and cryogenic valves, systems, and components.
  • Support engineers with design concepts, tooling, test hardware, and process improvements.
  • Review and improve work instructions for complex mechanical systems and installations.
  • Diagnose, disassemble, repair, clean, and passivate aerospace hardware using chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, and precision-cleaning methods.
  • Maintain and calibrate shop equipment, including pumps, tanks, filtration systems, and scales.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience, or equivalent, in aerospace, aircraft, R&D, or a related industrial field.
  • Experience or familiarity with aerospace electronics and avionics systems, including wiring, troubleshooting, or integration.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs and lift and carry up to 50 pounds for limited durations.
  • Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Tube fabrication and pressurized-system safety experience.
  • Knowledge of GN2, GHe, hydraulic, and cryogenic fluid applications.
  • Experience with NPT and AN fittings, aerospace or medical-standard cleaning, and valve, actuator, or pump builds.
  • Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P).
