Engine Assembly Technician (m/f/d) (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Assemble, maintain, calibrate, and repair test rigs, rocket engines, high-pressure gas systems, and facility infrastructure.
• Prepare mechanical systems and equipment for commissioning, pressure testing, and engine hotfire activities.
• Install and configure test equipment for different test scenarios.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and fluid-system issues in collaboration with engineering, logistics, and other functions.
• Document maintenance, calibration, testing, and incidents while following operational and safety procedures.
• Suggest improvements to tooling, equipment, safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a hands-on technical mechanical role, preferably in aerospace, energy, or high-pressure systems.
• Practical experience assembling, commissioning, leak-checking, and operating high-pressure gas systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools, measurement instruments, and test equipment.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting complex mechanical and fluid systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and procedures.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with cryogenics, pyrophorics, explosive atmospheres, or other hazardous systems.
• Experience in a development test environment.
• Relevant technical education, certifications, or licenses.
• Experience with CAD software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
