Medical Assistant - Hughesville, MD (40 hours/week with Benefits & PTO)

Location: Hughesville, Maryland, United States; onsite clinical role

Salary: $22.00–$28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support a primary care physician and deliver an exceptional patient experience.
• Escort patients, clean and stock examination rooms, and collect updated health information.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with clinical procedures.
• Manage scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, specialist visits, and other care coordination.
• Document accurate patient data, process test results, and communicate results according to provider instructions.
• Participate in patient outreach, care-gap identification, and maintenance of clinical supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where mandated by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
