Manager, Managed Service (Payments)

What you will do

• Manage the operation and evolution of a mission-critical managed services platform for major payment clients.
• Lead Project Managers and Business Analysts while coordinating developers, testers, vendors, and subcontractors in a matrix environment.
• Plan and oversee platform initiatives, software releases, change programmes, resources, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure platform changes comply with regulatory, operational, contractual, industry, and quality standards.
• Build client relationships through governance meetings, stakeholder engagement, presentations, and site visits.
• Drive platform customisation, integrations, continuous improvement, and change management activities.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in project management, programme management, and/or release management, ideally in managed services and payments.
• FinTech and payments industry experience, including knowledge of merchant acquiring, payment switching, and clearing.
• Significant people leadership experience, including recruitment, coaching, development, and performance management.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, Agile, Waterfall, phased delivery, rapid delivery, and conversion programmes.
• Knowledge of card payment standards including AS2805 and ISO8583; experience with Connex and related payment processing solutions is relevant.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and executive relationship-building skills.
