Government Supply Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Remote work with required residency in Arizona only; based in Tempe, Arizona, with local onsite meetings, supplier engagements, and travel of up to 25%.

Salary: $99,000–$156,000 annually. For specific work locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $123,000–$184,000 annually.

What you will do

• Own procurement strategy across development, qualification, and production phases for fully assembled electronic products.
• Identify, qualify, onboard, and manage contract manufacturers for government programs.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier negotiations, awards, pricing, lead times, and supply agreements.
• Drive supply assurance by managing delivery, cost, quality, capacity, shortages, escalations, and recovery plans.
• Support NPI, engineering changes, alternate-part qualifications, and transitions from prototypes through LRIP and full-rate production.
• Improve sourcing processes, reporting, cost reduction, automation, and supply continuity.

Requirements

• US citizenship required.
• Must reside in Arizona.
• 10+ years of directly applicable supply chain experience in manufacturing, technology, aerospace, or another complex operational environment.
• Working knowledge of federal and defense contracting requirements, including FAR, DFARS, and ITAR.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, supply planning tools, supplier management, and a broad range of commodities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with contract manufacturers, space-rated government programs, aerospace, defense, autonomous systems, or space industries.
• Experience managing shortages, supply constraints, production escalations, NPI, and manufacturing ramps.
• Technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical components.
• Strong negotiation, data analysis, communication, influence, and problem-solving skills.
