Systems Supply Chain Manager (Optics/Photonics)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the Sunnyvale office. Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally to contract manufacturers and supply chain vendors.

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 base annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own supply commitments for optics, PCBAs, and mechanical product groups while resolving supply issues and preparing should-cost reports.
• Coordinate reliability, quality, and material planning across the supply chain, including DFM and FMEA initiatives.
• Manage contract manufacturing partners and vendors to remove obstacles, control costs, and align supply plans with build requirements.
• Apply Total Cost of Ownership methodologies and lead cost-down initiatives from raw materials through final delivery.
• Oversee production schedules and manufacturing builds based on priorities, material availability, and supply constraints.
• Coordinate executive meetings, drive continuous improvement, and align manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent field.
• 10+ years of supply chain management experience with complex products in areas such as semiconductors, telecommunications, hardware, optics, photonics, automotive, aerospace, or AR/VR/MR.
• 4+ years of NPI experience, including project scheduling, budget management, supplier selection, and product builds through proto-EVT-DVT-PVT phases.
• Experience with MRP systems such as SAP MRP or Oracle NetSuite, plus a good understanding of PLM systems.
• Knowledge of BOM structures, configuration management, clear-to-build processes, ECO processes, product life cycles, supplier capacity, and manufacturing constraints.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, influencing, and negotiation skills.

Nice to have

• MS degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent field, with 12 years of experience in a technical program or supply chain management role.
• Experience with DFM projects involving mechanical, electrical, and optical components and subsystems.
• Semiconductor or telecommunications equipment experience, including familiarity with SWIR products and manufacturing.
• Experience managing a team of supply chain program managers.
