Lead, Quality Engineer

Location: Onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States

Salary: $114,000–$135,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Lead complex quality investigations, apply advanced analytical methods, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and improve quality procedures, inspection documentation, performance metrics, and process capability.
• Support new product introductions by ensuring qualification activities and documentation meet customer and regulatory standards.
• Audit production processes, equipment, tooling, and quality systems for compliance with internal and customer requirements.
• Communicate quality issues, investigation results, and project updates to leadership, cross-functional teams, and customers.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams on problem solving, change management, product support, and process improvement.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a master's degree, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated success interfacing with customers and transferring technical information to different audiences.
• Strong experience improving processes and applying quality tools and concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of quality engineering principles, analytical methods, and problem-solving techniques.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, plus statistical software such as Minitab or JMP.
• Knowledge of inspection and measurement equipment, including optical comparators, CMMs, automated vision systems, calipers, gage blocks, and mechanical test equipment.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Experience with camLine, EtQ, and/or SAP.
