Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Location: Onsite Monday–Friday at the Mosel plant in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, United States; the role supports inspection operations across multiple shifts.

Base salary: $79,000–$125,000 per year.

What you will do

• Execute, improve, and standardize incoming inspection workflows, standards, data collection, and measurement methods.
• Build incoming inspection capability for the Mosel plant and support inspection readiness for new products, supplier launches, and engineering changes.
• Own the Material Review Board process for nonconforming incoming materials, including disposition, inventory control, rework, and closure.
• Lead containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for supplier-related quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement using SPC, MSA, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and critical-to-quality requirements.
• Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, suppliers, and auditors to improve quality outcomes and manufacturing efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering or engineering technology program.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or incoming inspection in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of SPC, MSA, root cause analysis, corrective action, measurement systems, and GD&T concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Monday–Friday, and support multiple shifts.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring new or transferred visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience building incoming inspection processes and using SAP, metrology systems, and inspection equipment.
• Lean or Six Sigma experience, preferably Green Belt or higher.
• Union experience, CQE/CQA certification, or lead auditor experience with ISO 9001 or an equivalent management system.
• For Senior Staff consideration: an advanced engineering degree or MBA and multi-site or cross-plant quality leadership experience.
