Quality Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Salary: $70,500–$130,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Support product quality, manufacturing yield, process stability, and cost-of-quality improvement across fabrication, coating, polishing, and related processes.
• Maintain quality procedures, work instructions, records, document control, change management, and traceability within the QMS.
• Execute CAPA and structured problem solving using 8D, DMAIC, root cause analysis, DOE, Pareto, and trend analysis.
• Implement SPC, analyze Cp/Cpk/Ppk, yield, and defect trends, and develop quality and yield reports or dashboards using MES/SPC tools.
• Support audits, supplier quality activities, NPI, process qualification, validation, MRB activities, and nonconformance handling.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and customers, and train operators and technicians on quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing.
• Strong background in process quality, SPC, DOE, and root cause analysis.
• Experience supporting ISO 9001, QMS processes, audits, CAPA, FMEA, control plans, inspection strategies, MSA, and Gauge R&R.
• Effective cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Minitab, JMP, Python, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with semiconductor, optical, or precision manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean improvement initiatives.
