Lead Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Nampa, Idaho, United States; onsite manufacturing facility

Salary: $107,600–$161,500 per year

What you will do

• Act as a technical advisor to production operations and troubleshoot material, design, and assembly issues.
• Plan, implement, and analyze quality tests to identify product defects.
• Partner with suppliers to identify and eliminate the causes of component failures.
• Improve product design, assembly, and component quality to increase product reliability.
• Serve as a subject matter expert during internal and external audits and certification activities.
• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of quality professionals and engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in an engineering discipline.
• Experience managing technical personnel and strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of quality tools and process improvement techniques, including FMEA, Six Sigma, and PDCA.
• Experience with metrology, statistical methods, design for manufacturability and assembly, tolerance studies, part design, or Design of Experiments.
