Quality Engineering III (Robotics)

Location: San Jose, CA, United States; onsite attendance required. Travel of up to 5% domestically and internationally may be required.

Salary: $120,000–$155,000 per year, plus a 5% bonus.

What you will do

• Drive product and process quality activities for customer products.
• Investigate product failures, determine root causes, and implement containment and corrective actions.
• Lead failure analysis, 8D investigations, error-code analysis, and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Analyze nonconformance trends, yield, QPPM, and quality scorecards.
• Initiate continuous improvement projects using lean tools such as value-stream mapping.
• Conduct internal and external factory audits, prepare reports, and collaborate with engineering, supply chain, customers, and program management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
• Strong background in robotics and/or semiconductor equipment.
• Knowledge of reliability modeling and apportionment, GR&R, HALT, HASS, F47, ESD, EMC, and ISTA testing.
• Experience with instrumentation, data collection, engineering drawings, specifications, project management, and digital process workflows.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work onsite around moving mechanical parts; attendance is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• CQE or CRE certification.
• Japanese speaking and/or reading ability.
• Knowledge of SEMI standards, MES, Six Sigma Black Belt, DM&DT, and QMS implementation.
