Manufacturing Technician - Wire Bonding

Location: Lowell, Massachusetts, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Hourly pay: $22.50–$35.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform component wire bonding for RF transistor packaged devices using automatic and semi-automatic wire bonders.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate multiple wire bonding and testing systems while meeting production targets and specifications.
• Conduct bond pull testing and adjust process parameters such as loop height and bond placement to optimize quality.
• Interpret engineering drawings, build sheets, schematics, and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform rework, repair, and assembly modifications, including solder component removal and replacement.
• Troubleshoot production and equipment issues, maintain records, and support continuous process improvement with technicians and engineers.

Requirements

• Trade or vocational school certification in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor or microelectronics manufacturing.
• Technical aptitude with artisan or craftsman-level precision assembly skills, strong attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and translate product requirements into optimized process setups.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation and use computers to access engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent U.S. residency, or protected-individual status under U.S. export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience working in cleanroom environments.
• Familiarity with high-reliability or aerospace-grade manufacturing standards.
