Lead QC Chemist

What you will do

• Lead laboratory management systems and improve work processes across multiple Poromerics and/or Polymerics QC laboratories.
• Develop, verify, qualify, and implement analytical test methods, metrology, equipment, and long-term stability verifications.
• Coordinate complex routine and non-routine analyses, sample management, calibrations, maintenance, and data review.
• Troubleshoot analytical systems, laboratory IT and data-handling systems, and coordinate laboratory root-cause investigations.
• Monitor data validity, apply statistical techniques, maintain measurement system analyses and gage studies, and improve QC data reliability.
• Train technicians, chemists, and engineers while communicating laboratory performance and improvement plans to functional leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Chemistry or a related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of analytical laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry, laboratory statistics, analytical instruments, calibration, standardization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience developing analytical standard operating procedures and contributing to or managing complex technical projects.
• Working knowledge of the Analytical Work Process, cGMP, Six Sigma methodology, materials and supplies management, and sample shipping processes.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams with strong communication, prioritization, organization, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Green Belt certification.
• Familiarity with MSA, GR&R, cGMP, ISO, and auditing.
