Metrology Lead

Location: Research Triangle Park, NC; initially supporting pilot operations in Durham, with transition to Benson planned for early 2027. Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

What you will do

• Develop and manage the metrology roadmap for pilot operations and future high-volume manufacturing.
• Define measurement requirements, methods, and sampling plans for critical-to-quality characteristics in PFMEAs and Control Plans.
• Lead the selection, procurement, installation, qualification, and lifecycle management of analytical and metrology equipment.
• Develop and validate analytical and inspection methods, including IQ/OQ/PQ or equivalent qualification activities.
• Implement Measurement System Analysis, Gauge R&R, measurement uncertainty assessment, Statistical Process Control, and process capability studies.
• Transfer qualified equipment and measurement methods from pilot operations to the Benson facility and create related SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline; advanced degrees may reduce the experience requirement.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, metrology, or measurement systems.
• Strong experience in analytical method development, Measurement System Analysis, and Statistical Process Control.
• Experience selecting and qualifying metrology equipment and supporting new product introduction and manufacturing scale-up.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and measurement system requirements, with familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory principles.
• U.S. Person status is required for access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
