Product Quality Engineer, CMP Pads (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Manage the quality and continuous improvement of CMP pad product lines manufactured in Hsinchu.
• Assess non-conforming products and determine fit-for-use decisions with manufacturing and applications engineering teams.
• Analyze process and production data, drive statistical process control adoption, and prioritize improvement initiatives.
• Lead product change management, assess risks, and coordinate mitigation and technical communications.
• Own customer complaints and requests, including root-cause analysis, solution development, customer communications, and technical documentation.
• Drive customer-requirement roadmaps and support high-quality new product introductions through stage-gate collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or support functions.
• Hands-on experience with statistical process control and design of experiments; Six Sigma Green Belt experience.
• Experience communicating with customers or suppliers and aligning external communications across cultures and language barriers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, make independent engineering judgments, and communicate with senior stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills across business, product quality, product development, manufacturing, and supplier organizations.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of electronics-market experience in technical service, product quality, or supplier quality management.
• Knowledge of the specific customer applications for CMP products.
• Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Experience as a team leader or Six Sigma project leader.
• Experience with advanced physical and chemical characterization techniques.
