Engineering Manager (.NET)

Location: Fully remote, based anywhere in the UK. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Salary: £70,000–£90,000 per year, dependent on experience.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, mentor, recruit, and support the career development of software engineers across multiple product areas.
• Define target architecture, architectural principles, design standards, and technical guardrails for digital platforms.
• Guide technical decisions and architecture reviews while ensuring scalable, secure, maintainable, and resilient solutions.
• Translate product roadmaps into deliverable outcomes and improve planning accuracy, engineering predictability, and release confidence.
• Drive improvements in CI/CD, automated testing, observability, operational resilience, and secure software development.
• Lead incident responses and root cause analysis while partnering with Product, Delivery, Support, Professional Services, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and managing software engineering teams in a modern product organisation.
• Strong C#/.NET development experience and expertise in software architecture and system design.
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud-native application development and modern web and API platforms at scale.
• Strong understanding of security, performance, resilience, and operational best practices.
• Excellent coaching, mentoring, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted software development, Microsoft Dynamics, ERP, CRM, hospitality, leisure, property, or vertical SaaS.
• Experience with Azure-hosted applications and services, mobile applications, and customer-facing digital products.
• Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, architecture governance, and engineering standards.
