Engineering Team Lead (.NET)

Salary: $128,100–$213,500 annual (USD)

What you will do

• Lead and participate in the development, support, testing, and enhancement of a specialized custom-built application.
• Manage a team of 4–6 engineering individual contributors, assign project responsibilities, and oversee staffing and delivery schedules.
• Partner with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, prepare specifications, recommend solutions, and maintain strong client relationships.
• Guide application refactoring, modernization, and cloud-based transformation initiatives.
• Monitor project plans, vendor and product options, technology direction, infrastructure, and impacts across the client environment.
• Manage performance, promotions, staffing decisions, compliance, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• At least 9 years of combined higher education and/or work experience, including 4 years in engineering and/or architecture and 3 years in leadership.
• Hands-on experience leading custom application development teams.
• Strong experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET and Angular.
• Experience supporting internet-facing applications and understanding the system development life cycle.
• Understanding of financial services or banking technology environments, including math-intensive or calculation-driven systems.
• Strong project management, analytical, decision-making, communication, presentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with cloud migration initiatives, particularly Azure.
• Background in investment banking, collateral management, or related financial domains.
• Experience leading teams through transitions, rebuilding engagement, and mentoring engineers.
• Subject matter expertise in applications with integrated or interfacing systems.
