Test Development Engineer (Manufacturing Test)

Location: Santa Clara, California; primarily in-office at the Santa Clara office

Annual base salary: $170,000–$255,000 USD. The role may also be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Develop Proofs of Concept and production-grade full-stack applications for manufacturing test execution.
• Design and scale high-availability backend database systems for high-throughput manufacturing telemetry and real-time production analytics.
• Define structural and functional test coverage from L6 PCBA through L10 system-level environments across NPI stages.
• Deploy standardized hardware test stations in partnership with Test Infrastructure, Design, and Quality teams.
• Lead root-cause analysis, hardware validation, technical specification development, and NPI readiness with contract manufacturing partners.

Requirements

• Experience rapidly translating ambiguous requirements into POCs and production-grade full-stack applications.
• Experience designing, optimizing, and scaling high-availability backend database systems handling high-throughput telemetry.
• Deep understanding of PCBA and system-level functional test strategies, hardware debugging, and lab instrumentation.
• Experience with compute and storage architectures and manufacturing environments.
• Strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills across Hardware Design, Quality, Operations, and manufacturing partners.
• Ability to work from the Santa Clara office in a primarily in-office environment, except during PTO, work travel, or approved leave.
