Software Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States

Salary: $105,000–$130,000 per year, plus equity

hirify.global is a startup developing mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases.

What you will do

• Create tooling to support a variety of simulation software packages.
• Contribute to internal software products used for simulation and analysis of simulation results.
• Support software testing and the development of simulation tools.
• Collaborate with engineering teams working on portable nuclear microreactors.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Software Engineering, Controls Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Expected graduation in December 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Familiarity with Python, C++, C#, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
• Basic knowledge of software development practices and version control tools such as Git.
• Ability to work on-site in El Segundo, California.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with distributed software development and common design patterns.
• Interest in simulation tools or software testing.
• Passion for physics, hardware, or electrical engineering.
• Strong self-motivation and effective collaboration skills.
