Product Application Engineer

Salary: $66,900–$124,300 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical assistance for product questions and problems from quotation requests through shipment and installation.
• Research product solutions and initiate new product models and derivatives to meet customer requirements.
• Support manufacturing by answering technical questions and troubleshooting order-related problems.
• Analyze product failures and customer concerns, assist with quality issues, and prepare required reports and CQC documentation.
• Provide internal training on Qualitrol products.
• Manage customer issues from occurrence through resolution and present technical product information to customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; additional work experience may substitute for a degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in an engineering role.
• Experience with software and hardware implementation and solving sophisticated technical issues.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to create and deliver presentations as needed.
• Knowledge of electric power transmission and distribution.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of telecom techniques for remote device monitoring, including TCP/IP, modem protocols, and serial links.
• Experience with Oracle and Salesforce.
