Senior RF Space Systems Engineer

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States; onsite

Salary: $141,500–$224,000 annually. For specific work locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area, the range is $176,000–$264,000 annually.

What you will do

• Develop multifunction space systems from concept through implementation for critical defense and commercial programs.
• Define requirements, design system architectures, and develop interface definitions.
• Integrate and implement hardware for space payloads and electronics.
• Model, simulate, and analyze system performance, including power and communication link budgets.
• Design and execute system tests and identify, track, and reduce technical risks.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional stakeholders on high-priority space system opportunities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of systems engineering experience with a master's degree, or 12+ years with a bachelor's degree.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; a master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
• Experience with space payload and electronics design, reliability, and EMI/EMC requirements.
• Experience with interdisciplinary teams spanning business development, systems, software, RF circuits, and FPGA design.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, ADS, HFSS, and Genesys.
• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD TS SCI clearance, or the ability and willingness to obtain clearance when administratively feasible, are required.

Nice to have

• MBSE experience with tools such as Cameo.
• Satellite mission operations experience, including launch, in-orbit testing, and anomaly resolution.
• Experience with STK and end-to-end product development from concept through launch and operation.
• Leadership of space systems engineering teams and technical trade studies.
