Project Engineer - Advanced Systems (Communications)

Location: Remote - Texas, United States

Salary: $180,500–$285,000 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $224,500–$336,500 annually.

What you will do

• Drive the technical execution of Advanced Systems projects and programs.
• Develop and deliver current scoped developments, future functionality, and enhancements to existing programs, products, and services.
• Participate in and oversee design, development, system integration, delivery, and support activities.
• Shape product vision and strategy by integrating market and customer feedback with stakeholder needs and technical feasibility.
• Provide hands-on technical support for critical capabilities and government customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• 10+ years of experience with communication systems and mission system integration.
• Experience with IP networking, routing, firewalls, modern embedded software systems, and containerization technologies.
• Experience with systems engineering processes, including requirements definition and system verification testing.
• Ability to manage roadmaps, strategy, and requirements; troubleshoot complex systems; and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, vendors, subcontractors, and partners.
• U.S. citizenship is required for this U.S. Government position. A current active TS clearance or the ability to obtain a United States Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating communications systems into ISR and C2 mission systems.
• Experience with communications and electrical test equipment, SATCOM terminals, and communications solutions.
• Experience with WGS, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275, DO-160, or RMF requirements.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
