Consultant, IT Quality Engineering

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada. The work arrangement and proportion of on-site and remote work will be discussed during the interview. Legal eligibility to work at the specified location is required.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end testing activities, including test planning, strategy development, estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive test cases and execute functional, non-functional, and automated testing.
• Design and implement automation strategies, tools, and frameworks, integrating automated tests with DevOps tools.
• Manage defects, compliance deviations, remediation activities, test metrics, risks, and status reporting.
• Coordinate internal and external testing teams and collaborate with project managers, developers, vendors, business stakeholders, and technology partners.
• Coach and mentor testing team members and improve testing processes, tools, standards, and methodologies.

Requirements

• 7+ years of QA/QE experience, including 3–5 years in test coordination and 3–5 years in automation or an equivalent technical role.
• Strong knowledge of the testing life cycle, SDLC, defect management, banking applications, and regulatory or compliance requirements.
• Strong Mainframe and/or Hyperion Essbase knowledge and testing experience.
• Experience with data warehouse and ETL testing using Oracle, TOAD, and PL/SQL.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including complex templates, formulas, and functions.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a technical discipline; legal eligibility to work in Canada is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Finance or ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or SAP.
• Automation experience with Tosca DI or Azure Databricks Notebooks.
• Experience with Planning and Budgeting, Sales Performance and Incentives calculation systems, or Power BI.
