Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance and Reliability Engineer

What you will do

• Provide engineering support for electrical infrastructure and installed instrumentation, including day-to-day troubleshooting.
• Specify replacement equipment, standardize future purchases, support incident investigations, and maintain interlock testing procedures.
• Develop and own electrical maintenance programs covering switchgear, breakers, infrared inspections, motors, and protective devices.
• Lead replacement and modernization strategies for aging switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and other electrical equipment.
• Lead reliability improvement initiatives using root cause failure analysis and performance monitoring.
• Define backup power strategies, electrical safety standards, arc flash compliance programs, and long-term distribution plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or a Delaware Professional Engineer license in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of industrial experience in electrical engineering, maintenance, or reliability.
• Knowledge of power distribution systems and electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems, including SAP and MaintainX.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license in Delaware.
• Experience replacing and modernizing aging infrastructure.
• Manufacturing or industrial experience.
• Experience leading electrical safety programs or updating safety standards.
