Electrical Engineer (Power Systems)

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, United States; office/site only. Travel to customer sites may reach 30%.

What you will do

• Lead electrical engineering projects from design initiation through final documentation.
• Develop optimized solutions for excitation systems, starting frequency converters, protection systems, and other power generation equipment.
• Provide customer-facing technical support, troubleshooting, and system upgrade guidance.
• Support product development through testing, validation, and process improvement.
• Act as a subject matter expert for hotline technical inquiries and contribute to specialist engineer training.
• Travel to customer sites for data collection, commissioning, and system validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in power generation, oil and gas, or industrial automation.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics, power generation, transmission systems, and electrical machines.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver to deadlines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
