TL;DR
Senior Simulation Engineer - Electromagnetics Specialist (Semiconductor): Building high-fidelity electromagnetic models and automated simulation pipelines for semiconductor, electronics, aerospace, automotive, and other engineering applications with an accent on low- and high-frequency electromagnetics, signal and power integrity, and EMI/EMC. Focus on accelerating simulations with cloud and on-premises HPC, validating models with experimental data, generating datasets for machine learning surrogates, and solving customer engineering challenges.

Location: New York City, with required office attendance 2–3 days per week. Travel to customer sites across North America is required for an average of 3–4 weeks per quarter.

Company

hirify.global is a deep-tech company building AI-driven simulation software for engineering and manufacturing across aerospace and defense, materials, energy, semiconductors, and automotive.

What you will do

  • Build complex electromagnetic models covering low-frequency and high-frequency applications.
  • Use experimental data to validate simulations and ensure accurate results.
  • Automate simulation pipelines for optimization and parametric design.
  • Use cloud infrastructure and on-premises HPC to accelerate high-fidelity simulations.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and customers to solve engineering challenges using simulation and AI.
  • Generate simulation data for machine learning and deep learning surrogates, improve engineering practices, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of industry experience after a master’s degree or PhD in a commercial, non-research environment.
  • Deep expertise in electromagnetic theory and hands-on experience with low-frequency EM, high-frequency EM, or EMI/EMC analysis.
  • Experience with semiconductor and electronics applications such as chip and advanced package design, high-speed interconnects, and signal and power integrity.
  • Advanced proficiency with at least one industry-standard EM simulation platform, such as Ansys HFSS, Ansys Maxwell, CST Studio Suite, COMSOL Multiphysics, Altair FEKO, Altair Flux, or Siemens Simcenter MAGNET.
  • Ability to independently set up complex simulations, interpret results, and make engineering decisions based on physics and technical judgment.
  • Ability to work from the New York City office 2–3 days per week and travel to North American customer sites.

Nice to have

  • Python or MATLAB programming skills.
  • Experience with PCB layout and signal integrity tools such as Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, or Ansys SIwave.
  • Experience with antenna design, induction heating, or electric motors.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work at the intersection of computational engineering, simulation, data science, and AI.
  • Collaborate directly with customers to develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Opportunities to grow as an individual contributor or technical lead.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to equal employment opportunity and diversity in technology.
