Location: Long Beach, California, United States. This role is based in a U.S. office and requires U.S. citizenship due to program requirements and ITAR-related access restrictions.
Base pay: $132,000β$220,000 USD per year.

What you will do
- Own the development of new and existing spacecraft propulsion and fluidic products or systems.
- Lead conceptual and detailed performance calculations, system modelling, analysis, and design.
- Gather, define, and manage system requirements across the development lifecycle.
- Plan, instrument, execute, and analyze propulsion system tests.
- Make risk-based technical decisions and communicate progress with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build schedules, coordinate engineers and technicians, mentor team members, and maintain engineering standards and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in aerospace, mechanical, mechatronics, or another engineering discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in propulsion system development or another high-performance engineering field.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
- Expertise in propulsion modelling, static and transient analysis, and model validation using Amesim, EcosimPro, Simulink, or Simscape.
- Experience with requirements, detailed design, qualification, production, acceptance testing, and the Systems Engineering V.
- Experience with electrical and chemical propulsion systems using different storable propellants.
Nice to have
- Experience with Jama, Python for data manipulation, NX or equivalent CAD, GD&T, engineering drawings, and PLM tools such as Teamcenter or Windchill.
- Experience with National Instruments data acquisition systems, flight hardware testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication, hands-on engineering, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with ambiguity and a masterβs degree or PhD.
