Engineer – Test Data Architecture (Aerospace)

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States; site-based role requiring work from a hirify.global office or work location at least 3 days (60%+) per week.

Salary: $141,500–$224,000 annually; $176,000–$264,000 annually for specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Own and evolve the automated test architecture environment, including configuration, customization, deployment, and framework updates.
• Develop software tools, utilities, automation libraries, standards, and reusable workflows for consistent test execution.
• Build integrations between test systems, instrumentation, databases, and analytics platforms.
• Design test data pipelines, dashboards, interactive reports, and analytics for engineering reviews and operational visibility.
• Analyze development, qualification, environmental, and production test data, including FPY, pass/fail trends, failure Pareto analysis, SPC metrics, and reliability indicators.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, manufacturing, and quality engineers to improve test reliability, maintainability, and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience developing software applications with Python, C#, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience with automated test systems, hardware/software integration, engineering tools, or test infrastructure.
• Experience working with structured data, databases, and data analysis techniques.
• Ability to drive technical solutions independently from concept through deployment.
• US citizenship required.

Nice to have

• Experience with spacecraft, satellite, aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability systems.
• Experience with COSMOS, CCAF, NI TestStand, LabVIEW, InControl, or similar test architecture frameworks.
• Experience with telemetry, command and control systems, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or automated test equipment.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Grafana, Plotly Dash, APIs, software services, data pipelines, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Experience with manufacturing analytics, production yield reporting, and AI-assisted development tools.
