Senior Test Engineer (Aerospace Defense)

Location: Fully onsite at the Centennial, Colorado office; U.S. citizenship required

Base salary: $120,000–$195,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and lead test strategies for major aerospace defense programs, including requirements verification and execution oversight.
• Author and review test plans, procedures, readiness reports, and compliance matrices.
• Execute test campaigns, collect and analyze data, resolve anomalies, and lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Oversee multidisciplinary thermal, structural, EMI, and functional testing with full traceability to system requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and act as the technical point of contact for test-related communications.
• Interface with program leadership, customers, and regulatory bodies during design reviews and formal test events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant test engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability systems.
• Strong knowledge of environmental and performance test methodologies and standards.
• Experience leading complex test campaigns and multidisciplinary teams.
• Background in data analysis, systems engineering, failure analysis, communication, leadership, and technical documentation.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to government contracts and ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering.
• Experience with data acquisition, test automation, and scripting using LabVIEW, Python, or MATLAB.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-810, DO-160, or NASA/DoD specifications.
• Experience in classified or secure test environments.
• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
