Senior Accountant

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; Workplace: On-site

Salary: $96,000–$140,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

• Own the monthly close for assigned areas, including journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and GL-to-subledger integrity.
• Manage AR and revenue, accruals, fixed assets, deferred revenue, and equity cycles with accurate rollforwards and documentation.
• Coordinate with AP, AR, Payroll, Procurement, and FP&A on accruals, cutoffs, and budget-to-actual analysis.
• Identify control gaps, risks, and inefficiencies and drive corrective solutions.
• Standardize templates, automate reconciliations, and streamline the close calendar.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification or CPA eligibility.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, a Big 4 or national firm, and/or a high-growth operating environment.
• Proficiency with general ledgers, subledgers, reconciliation tools such as FloQast, and Excel or Google Sheets.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Clear communication, strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, ownership, and the ability to collaborate to deadlines.
