Senior Accountant

Location: New York, NY; candidates must be based in NYC or the Bay Area

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 USD base salary per year, excluding bonus or commission

What you will do

• Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and core accounting principles.
• Assist with internal controls, compliance, audit preparation, external audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner cross-functionally to gather data and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Identify and implement accounting process improvements.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using AI tools in everyday work.
• Must be based in NYC or the Bay Area.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or active progress toward certification.
• Experience with modern accounting software and tools.
• Experience in technology, e-commerce, or a high-growth startup environment.
• Familiarity with the creator economy or digital marketing.
