Accounting Manager/Lead

Location: New York City, on-site; willingness to work in the office 4–5 days per week is required. Relocation packages are available.

Salary: $160,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own core month-end close activities, including the general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
• Redesign close processes to improve speed, reliability, scalability, and reduce manual intervention.
• Build automation for reconciliations, journal entries, data ingestion, and reporting.
• Optimize the ERP and adjacent accounting tools, including system structures, mappings, and reporting logic.
• Ensure financial data is clean, structured, and correctly transferred across systems.
• Balance automation and operational speed with strong controls and audit readiness.

Requirements

• Accounting background in public accounting, Big Four, or a high-growth in-house environment.
• Strong knowledge of close processes, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting tools, including structuring systems for scale.
• Comfort working with large datasets and data flows and identifying root causes of discrepancies.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and ability to drive improvements independently.
• Ability and willingness to work on-site in the New York City office 4–5 days per week.
