Base salary: $132,000–$198,000 USD annually. Total compensation including equity: $164,500–$255,275 USD annually.

What you will do
- Support business development with proposals and mission concepts.
- Develop lightweight satellite deployment systems, mechanisms, and spacecraft bus configurations.
- Create concepts and configurations for high-value science and interplanetary missions.
- Own component designs from concept through production, testing, and operation.
- Perform hand calculations and FEA to guide design decisions.
- Lead design, manufacturing, and test reviews while managing schedules, vendors, budgets, and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or another engineering discipline.
- 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Experience with CAD modeling and technical drawings.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
- U.S. office roles are subject to ITAR eligibility requirements.
- Ability to work in production environments with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and fumes.
Nice to have
- Active Secret or TS security clearance.
- Spacecraft or satellite design experience and satellite deployment systems experience.
- Advanced degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
- Hands-on development, testing, and thermal or vibration test-data analysis experience.
- GD&T, spacecraft systems engineering, requirements assessment, and interface control document experience.
