Company

hirify.global is an aerospace company designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for sustainable air mobility.

What you will do

  • Lead aircraft systems architecture, including whole-vehicle mechanical packaging, system-level mechanical architectures, thermal and fuel systems, and configuration trade studies.
  • Drive mechanical design and integration through top-level CAD assemblies, interface control models, integrated airframe CAD, detailed part and subassembly design, and technical drawings.
  • Perform thermal modeling, structural analysis, and aircraft-level weight and balance modeling to validate packaging concepts.
  • Support prototype builds and testing through procurement planning, verification strategy development, test procedure creation, and test execution.
  • Mentor engineers, own lifecycle activities, manage project timelines, participate in design reviews, and collaborate across disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of end-to-end aerospace product lifecycle experience, including CoDR, PDR, CDR, manufacturing, qualification, and flight testing.
  • Experience designing and testing to DO-160 and DO-311 standards, working with 800+ V DC systems, and designing metallic, composite, and injection-molded parts.
  • At least 5 years of NX experience with large, complex assemblies and drawing release to ASME Y14.5, with fluency in GD&T.
  • Proficiency in 1D thermal analysis tools such as Simscape or Amesim, 3D CFD tools such as StarCCM+ or Ansys, and advanced FEA tools such as NASTRAN, HyperWorks, or Ansys.
  • Work is based in San Jose, California, United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work on an all-electric aircraft designed to advance sustainable air mobility.
  • Collaborate in an inclusive and equitable environment that values diverse perspectives.
