Senior Raw Material Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Qualify raw material changes, develop alternative and second-source materials, and support their optimization and commercialization for pad manufacturing.
• Define critical-to-performance parameters and establish quality requirements for raw materials and testing processes.
• Partner with analytical teams on incoming-material testing, process control, quality control, gauge studies, and sensitivity studies.
• Create and update process and design FMEAs, run material qualifications, and support stage-gate activities.
• Assess materials and processes using technologies for mixing, filtration, processing, and metals reduction, and implement corrective and preventive improvements.
• Provide technical expertise to manufacturing, suppliers, and customers while communicating results through reports and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment in a similar role.
• Experience in the semiconductor, specialty chemical, or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, collaboration, and project-management skills, including data-driven decision-making.
• Familiarity with analytical techniques such as NMR, GPC, FT-IR, SEM, DMA, TGS, and DSC.
• Working knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, Six Sigma, and statistical software such as JMP.

• Experience with raw material supplier management.
