Senior Raw Material Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Qualify raw material changes, develop alternative and second-source materials, and support the commercialization of new materials for pad manufacturing.
• Define critical-to-performance parameters and establish quality requirements for raw materials and testing processes.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, analytical, stage gate, customer, and supplier teams.
• Implement analytical testing, process control, quality control, and capability studies using tools such as gage and sensitivity studies.
• Develop FMEAs, run material qualifications, conduct process investigations, and implement corrective and preventative modifications.
• Provide technical expertise to manufacturing, communicate findings through reports and presentations, and support production performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment in a similar role.
• Experience in the semiconductor, specialty chemical, or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, project-management, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with analytical techniques including NMR, GPC, FT-IR, SEM, DMA, TGS, and DSC.
• Working knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, Six Sigma, and statistical software such as JMP.
