TL;DR
Manager for Supplier Quality Engineering, Technical Supplier Managers, and Cost Engineering (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Leading supplier quality, technical supplier management, and cost engineering for complex optical, electronic, mechanical, and mechatronic lithography systems with an accent on supplier industrialization, product quality, cost reduction, and team development. Focus on building supplier capabilities, coordinating n-tier supply-chain quality, driving Lean and Six Sigma improvements, and managing multidisciplinary teams through product development and sustaining engineering.

Location: Wilton, Connecticut, United States. Onsite role with travel of up to 20% to Europe, Asia, and within the United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States export regulations before starting.

Develops and services advanced lithography machines that enable leading chipmakers to produce smaller, more powerful, and energy-efficient microchips.

What you will do

  • Lead and directly manage 10–15 Cost Engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers, and Technical Supplier Managers.
  • Drive industrialization of new optical, opto-mechanical, opto-electronic, electronic, mechanical, and mechatronic products with design teams and key suppliers.
  • Ensure supplier quality, reliability, delivery, move rate, cost, industrialization documentation, and material readiness across the n-tier supply chain.
  • Develop supplier technology roadmaps and strengthen capabilities in SPC, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and Operational Excellence.
  • Manage performance, coaching, mentoring, training, recruiting, budgets, and career development for the group.
  • Coordinate stakeholders, resolve technical and production risks, and promote continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience developing and manufacturing complex high-tech systems.
  • At least 3 years of management experience with direct reports.
  • Manufacturing experience and expertise in Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Strong leadership, supplier negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and legal authorization to access United States-controlled technology are required.

Nice to have

  • Direct industry experience in a technical field related to the degree.
  • Equivalent project management experience.
