Supplier Quality Engineer IV (Semiconductor)

Location: Gloucester, MA or Billerica, MA, United States. Travel required approximately 20% of the time. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $116,000–$159,500 per year

What you will do

• Evaluate technical requirements, qualified sources, and supplier products to recommend materials that improve cost, lead time, system performance, product life, and risk.
• Work with New Product Development teams to clarify engineering drawing requirements and communicate expectations to suppliers.
• Partner with New Product Introduction teams to involve suppliers in specification development and reviews focused on design for manufacturability.
• Support supplier selection and build a competitive supply base across quality, value, delivery, and technology.
• Lead supplier technical audits, evaluate supplier capability and performance, and train other supplier engineers on audit and evaluation processes.
• Lead quality problem resolution and incident management, including root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and systemic supplier improvements.

Requirements

• Up to 4 years of supplier engineering-related experience.
• Good working knowledge of structured problem-solving methods.
• Expertise in a specialized supplier quality or engineering discipline.
• Ability to interpret business and technical challenges and recommend improvements to products, processes, or services.
• Ability to lead others through complex problems, communicate difficult concepts, and negotiate solutions.
• Ability to work in Gloucester or Billerica, Massachusetts, with approximately 20% travel; relocation is not eligible.
