Senior Control Systems Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota; onsite Monday through Thursday, with flexible work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $105,228.33–$146,720.00

What you will do

• Provide global control-system engineering support for transport refrigeration units and auxiliary power units.
• Coordinate electronics and software design projects, including requirements, specifications, milestones, and schedules.
• Partner with product management, project management, platform teams, software and hardware groups, and external development partners.
• Lead technical-performance assurance, lifecycle projects, feasibility studies, ideation events, and technology evaluations for refrigeration systems.
• Develop communication processes and product-development tools for testing, troubleshooting, and delivery.
• Ensure integration of FMEA and Design for Service and Testability practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience and experience designing and supporting controller solutions.
• Working knowledge of hardware and software controller implementations.
• Experience with Agile product development and working with offshore development groups.
• Ability to translate input from diverse stakeholders into cohesive requirements, designs, and specifications.
• Experience with the embedded controller development lifecycle is beneficial.

Nice to have

• System engineering experience.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, transportation, off-road agricultural, construction, or HVAC equipment.
• Experience with Phase Gate development methodologies.
